I am a Black therapist from Asheville who has experienced the ups and downs of living in Western North Carolina. My rather “unicorn” experiences have provided me with essential skills towards becoming the best therapist for you. I am passionate about social justice advocacy and pushing for opportunities for everyone to access mental health appropriately. My life has been based on creating change and leaving a lasting impact on others. I live by the motto of, “Be the best you”. Even if the best you is not always 100%, at least you are aiming to be the best version of yourself.
What you can expect from me
I am here to support and provide guidance for you. I utilize a person-centered approach on listening first without judgment. This is essential towards building trust and a belief in future healing for you. Our connections in these sessions will lead to critical pushes towards becoming who you want to be. We all want to feel whole and understood while we are figuring out life’s transitions. Through coaching, I aim to provide you with essential tools to unlock your hidden potential. I want you to feel empowered and safe. It is my commitment to you that I will always seek to understand before jumping to a solution or a quick fix.
I like to think of goals as achievements for you. In life, we want to achieve worthwhile things, whether it be smiling, crying it out, yelling it out or just feeling like someone is there for you. Trust me, I will be there with you every step of the way. Lastly, I want to say, “I am proud of you”. This journey will not be easy but will be the reward you are hopefully looking forward to in life. Lets cheer the wins and build upon your losses also. I do welcome discussing topics around personal values/morals, spirituality/religion, and even politics, without judgment.
