Evaluations & Letters

As a therapist with many years of training and experience in working with gender-diverse clients, I meet the WPATH criteria as a qualified professional who can write gender-affirming care referral letters. It is my goal to make the process as accessible and affordable as possible because people who are transgender already experience too many barriers to receiving quality gender-affirming care. 

Documentation that I offer:

  • Gender-Affirming Surgery Letters

  • HRT Recommendation Letters

  • ”Carry Letters” for travelling when your ID photo/name/gender does not match your identity

  • Other documentation needed to change your legal name or gender marker

In order to complete the documentation you are requesting, I must meet with you for a one-hour evaluation. I may be able to accept your insurance to conduct the evaluation that’s necessary to complete the documentation you need. The insurance companies I am in network with are:

Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Healthy Blue NC Medicaid, Amerihealth Caritas NC Medicaid

I’m licensed in both NC and TN and can meet with you for an evaluation if you are located in either state.

Although my letters and documentation have never caused a denial for the client, I cannot personally guarantee you will be approved for the care you are seeking due to factors that are not in my control. If you do receive a denial, I will do what I can to advocate on your behalf if you choose to appeal the decision.
